Field of History

The History field focuses on strengthening doctoral studies in history and promoting new directions aligned with current national and international research trends, with the aim of diversifying doctoral research.

It also aims to foster doctoral-level academic training by encouraging interdisciplinary approaches, the internationalization of historical research through collaboration with prestigious foreign scholars, and the development of doctoral students’ intellectual capacities, critical thinking, self-assessment skills, and research abilities, while promoting their participation in national and international academic events.

The scientific and professional quality of the doctoral supervisors in the History field, their openness to national and international collaboration—including through joint PhD supervision (co-tutelle)—and the infrastructure available, are guarantees of this field’s strong presence in the competitive landscape of high-performing educational and research systems.
